Automatic print parameter optimisation supports fast, efficient
introduction of new products
Yamaha Robotics has introduced state-of-the-art setup support for SMT printers
that quickly optimises printer settings, thereby increasing productivity
and accelerating new product introduction (NPI).
The new Print Param Decision Assist tool automatically analyses the loaded
PCB file to calculate ideal printing parameters and correct errors in
existing settings. It evaluates the dimensions of the
PCB, the type of components, the solder paste type, the stencil thickness and the
critical dimensions of the stencil apertures, and generates all
settings, including system pressure, printing speed, squeegee angle and
cleaning frequency. The clear, intuitive user interface makes it easy
for users to check settings and make fine adjustments
.
“We provide our customers with a printing expert who accompanies every new
product development with time-saving support, recommendations and
careful reviews,” comments Shuichi Imai, Sales General
Manager for Europe at Yamaha Robotics SMT Section. “Operators of all levels of expertise,
whether they already have many years of know-how in surface mounting or have only recently joined the team,
can now immediately access process knowledge and rely on a high level of process reliability when working with
Yamaha printers right from the start.”
