Using cameras with double-sided inspection (top to bottom and bottom to top) and UV illumination,
the FX-942 ACI inspects conformal coating coverage and verifies correct placement of components in SMT or THT applications,
enabling users to improve quality and increase yields.
Advanced high-performance UV illumination and newly available image processing technology integrate multiple techniques,
including coverage inspection, color inspection, normalized correlation and
rule-based algorithms to achieve complete inspection coverage with an unmatched low false error rate.
The FX-942 ACI can be configured for multiple line positions and is equally suited for coating and
pre/post cure and final assembly inspections.
Offline programming maximizes machine utilization and

Since coatings are transparent, the workpieces must be viewed under black light to check for coverage and non-coverage.
Advanced high-performance UV illumination and newly available image processing technology integrate multiple techniques,
including coverage verification, color verification, normalized correlation and
rule-based algorithms to achieve full inspection coverage with an unmatched low false error rate.
With minimal programming effort, the test setup is fast and intuitive and usually takes less than 30 minutes.
A well-known good board is used to learn the coverage and non-coverage areas.
The automated inspection typically takes only a few seconds and the inspection results are displayed immediately.
These results can be saved and reviewed offline.
The FX-940UV also reads all common barcodes and records logs for product traceability.
